LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary on Monday.
Accompanied by deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and other officers, the CM offered floral tributes on the statue of Gandhi at Lucknow’s GPO. Several schoolchildren were also present on the occasion who sang bhajans, including Gandhi’s favourite bhajan ‘Vaishanav Jan’ and offered floral tributes to him.
Later, the CM also tweeted: “Humble tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary! Bapu’s ideology calls for humanity, freedom and harmony. His teachings pave the best way for the belief of the concept of Ram Rajya and world peace.”
