Provincial Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner can be visiting Peterborough and Brighton as a part of his Green Vision Tour later this week.

On Saturday, Schreiner can be joined by Peterborough-Kawartha candidate Gianne Broughton when he visits Peterborough. His agenda features a tour of George Street and small businesses from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Within the evening starting at 6 p.m., he’ll attend a community meal and awards presentation followed by a question-and-answer session from 7:30 p.m. to eight:30 p.m., each on the Peterborough Lions Banquet Hall.

He will even take part in an Earth Hour nature walk at 8:30 p.m., departing from the Lions Banquet Hall.

Broughton is up against Liberal incumbent Jeff Leal, NDP candidate Sean Conway and Dave Smith of the Progressive Conservatives.

On Sunday, Schreiner can be making a stop at Lola’s Coffee House on Important Street from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. He can be joined by Northumberland-Peterborough South candidate Jeff Wheeldon for a question-and-answer session.

Wheeldon can be up against Progressive Conservative candidate David Piccini, NDP candidate Jana Papuckoski and Liberal incumbent Lou Rinaldi, who’s currently MPP for Northumberland-Quinte West. The riding is changing boundaries for the following election.

Each visits are a part of Schreiner’s 20-stop tour of the province to speak in regards to the party’s plans for “people-powered change.”

Schreiner’s tour kicks off Tuesday night in Guelph.

The provincial election is about for June 7.
