The Gardai have issued the next statement last night to media:
‘Gardai confirmed they attended a public order incident on Abbey Street earlier on Thursday and no arrests were made and the investigations are ongoing.’
The match in Tallaght on Thursday night resulted in. 1-1 draw, with Rory Gaffney heading Rovers ahead with just 3 minutes on the clock. Gent equalised within the 74th minute but were unable to steal a win despite Rovers losing a person with 20 minutes to go. The Belgian side were then booed off the pitch by their very own fans after failing to capitalise on this chance, leaving the fate of their Conference League progress to be decided next week.
