Sharm El-Sheikh Museum – Min. of Tourism & Antiquities
CAIRO – 26 October 2022: On the occasion of Egypt’s hosting of the twenty seventh Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC [COP 27] in Sharm El-Sheikh next November, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities on the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Mostafa Waziri issued a choice to alter the visiting hours of Sharm El-Sheikh Museum to operate from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., ranging from November 5 to November 20.
Waziri explained that this decision was also made to enable the delegations of guests participating within the conference and the tourists present in the town to learn in regards to the ancient Egyptian civilization, and to advertise the Egyptian tourist destinations, its products and various tourist patterns, as the town of Sharm El-Sheikh enjoys multiple tourist products, namely beaches, recreational and cultural tourism.Tourists can enjoy its warm beaches and scenic views throughout the day, and visit the museum to learn in regards to the ancient Egyptian civilization within the evening.
It’s price noting that Sharm El-Sheikh Museum was inaugurated in October 2020, within the presence of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
It is taken into account the primary museum of Egyptian antiquities in South Sinai Governorate, and it’s situated on an area of roughly 191,000 square meters. The museum consists of three exhibition halls and an entertainment area that features restaurants and cafeterias.
