OTTAWA – Green Party interim Leader Amita Kuttner will join MPs Elizabeth May (Saanich-Gulf Islands) and Mike Morrice (Kitchener Centre) March 24 for the party’s first public event since last 12 months’s federal election. The reception, panel discussion and fundraiser will happen at Bayview Yards in Ottawa.
After a difficult federal election, the Green leaders are looking forward to having candid conversations with members about policy and the longer term of the party. Many members are excited to see the Green Party re-energized and able to proceed its fight for real motion on the climate crisis and a just transition to the green economy of the longer term.
Dr. Kuttner, Ms. May and Mr. Morrice might be available for a pre-event press conference at 6 p.m. on the Bayview Yards Innovation Centre, 7 Bayview Station Road, Ottawa. This might be followed by a reception, a panel discussion at 7 p.m. and a Dutch auction fundraiser at 8:15 p.m.. The panel discussion will concentrate on international security and Ukraine; climate change and a green economy; and the longer term of the Green Party because it rebuilds and refocuses.
