”I used to be inspired to hitch politics by my grandfather who was a member of parliament back in India. His example inspires me to this present day to at all times fight for the little guy. That’s why I joined the Green Party of Ontario, because Mike Schreiner’s drive for justice & sustainability jogs my memory of the identical. Abhijeet Manay was elected Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Ontario in 2018. He works in Learning & Development at Reena, a non-profit that works with individuals with developmental disabilities where he designs & teaches courses. He also sits on the Board of Directors of iREAM, a non profit organization within the GTA. He has accomplished his Hons. Bachelor of Science at McMaster University & his Masters in Education on the University of Toronto.
Abhijeet has a deep understanding of Toronto issues, where he grew up when he first arrived in Canada from Mumbai, India on the age of 14. He has at all times spoken up & advocated for inexpensive housing, small businesses & a guaranteed livable income. Abhijeet can also be the Green Party of Ontario’s shadow cabinet critic for Healthcare & Long Term Care & has been advocating for our elders, essential staff & marginalized communities throughout the pandemic.
